One of them is one of the oldest houses &#8211; 49 Hlavn\u00e1 Street, which refers to the glorious history of our town.<\/p>\n<p>The town house, as an immovable national cultural monument, was built in the Middle Ages and dates back to the 14th century. century. V 17. The first reconstruction took place in the Baroque-Classical style. In the house several stone entrance portals, stone windows and vents have been preserved.  <\/p>\n<p>The fa\u00e7ade currently presents a Baroque-Classical reconstruction, but its dominant element in the past was a Renaissance bay window.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>The house was owned by the Spielmann family until 1945. Karol Spielmann, a well-known businessman at that time, was one of the leading founders of the transport company for people, goods and mail (by stagecoach) on the road Budapest &#8211; Ko\u0161ice &#8211; Pre\u0161ov. At the end of the 1940s, the travel agency \u010cEDOK and later the Club of Slovak Tourists and Skiers moved into the space.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, the building began to be renovated and now you can experience the taste of coffee roasted directly in our CONTESSA coffee shop in this historic space.
